About the CaliforniaVolunteers Business Partners

In September 2009, CaliforniaVolunteers held the inaugural gathering of Business Partners, the first such statewide initiative focusing on employee volunteering and service to communities. The Business Partners are a cornerstone of the CaliforniaVolunteers Business Partners Program, informing, innovating and participating in CaliforniaVolunteers’ efforts to increase and strengthen business volunteering across the state in collaboration with local, regional and national leaders.

More than 30 leading businesses based or with a strong presence in California have already joined as CaliforniaVolunteers Business Partners, representing a cross-section of industries. The Business Partners will:

• Inform the menu of opportunities for businesses to grow the culture of workplace volunteering in California.
• Focus on unique and innovative opportunities in which collaboration makes a difference.
• Participate in selected opportunities implemented through CaliforniaVolunteers’ Business Partners Program
