Governor's Mentoring Partnership: Providing Support for California's Youth through Mentoring

Become a Mentor

Search Online Directory
If you are an employee of the State of California and you are interested in mentoring, CaliforniaVolunteers has created a list of mentoring programs that you can search to find opportunities in your area. All programs on this list are eligible to participate in the State Employee Mentor Leave Policy (SEMLP).

Find Eligible Programs

If you currently, or are planning to, mentor with an organization that is not on this list, encourage that organization to complete the online SEMLP survey to determine their eligibility to become a SEMLP certified organization.

How to Access Your SEMLP Benefits

Contact your agency or department’s personnel manager to determine whether you are eligible for the SEMLP benefit, and if so, discuss the process of accessing this benefit.

The SEMLP was established through Executive Order W-132-96.
